The AF Series Reticulated Foam 1.000″ thick RF absorber reaches the lowest frequency in the 3PB Solutions reticulated line while saving a quarter inch against the thickest option. The carbon loading is graded from light at the front face to heavy at the back, creating an impedance-matched entry that minimizes reflection, with the open-cell structure scattering the wave to extend its path through the lossy material. Like all reticulated foam, it delivers its rated performance when installed on a conductive surface.

At 1.000″ thick, this material works from 4 GHz to above 100 GHz with -20 to -40 dB attenuation, matching the low-frequency reach of the 1.250″ option in less depth. It is the right choice for test ranges and antenna measurement setups that need C-band coverage in the most compact package that provides it. When more performance margin at the bottom of the band is wanted and depth allows, use the 1.250″ option; when the band starts at 5 GHz or above, the 0.750″ option saves depth.
