RF Absorber Materials from 500 MHz to 100+ GHz
3PB Solutions designs and manufactures RF absorber materials (also called microwave absorber materials) for cavity resonance suppression, near-field RFI mitigation, EMC compliance, free-space signal isolation, and PIM mitigation. The full product line covers 0.5 to 100+ GHz across five material categories: magnetically loaded elastomer RF absorber sheets, broadband RF absorber foam, reticulated foam, dispensable RF absorbers, and thermal pad RF absorbers.
All RF absorbing materials are manufactured in-house in the United States. Standard and custom sheet sizes are available with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing and custom die-cutting. Complex permeability and permittivity data is available for electromagnetic simulation in HFSS, CST, and COMSOL. Standard orders ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Overnight shipping is available for engineers who need RF absorber material at the test lab immediately.

Why Engineers Choose 3PB Solutions
US Manufacturer
In-house compounding, sheet production, die-cutting, and fabrication. Full lot traceability on every order.
Short Lead Times
Standard and custom materials ship within 2-3 weeks, including die-cut parts. Compare to 8 to 10 weeks from larger suppliers.
Overnight Samples
At the test lab? Call 855-785-5660 or email sales@3pbsolutions.com and we’ll ship candidate materials overnight.
Non-Silicone Options
The US Series acrylic, non-silicone RF absorber elastomer provides attenuation with zero silicone oil migration for sensitive applications.
Custom Formulations
Non-standard thicknesses, loading levels, and die-cut geometries are standard service, not special orders.
Simulation Data
Complex permeability and permittivity data available for all elastomer products. Import directly into HFSS, CST, or COMSOL.

RF Absorbers for Satellite Communications
Short version: Satellite communication systems operate across L-band through Ka-band and increasingly into V-band, with each frequency range requiring specific absorber materials. Whether you are building ground terminals for LEO constellations, GEO transponders, or user terminals for broadband satellite internet, RF absorbers control cavity
RF Absorbers for Automotive Radar
Short version: Automotive radar sensors at 24 GHz and 77 GHz are standard equipment on most new vehicles, from adaptive cruise control to blind-spot detection to automated emergency braking. The sensor housings are small, the frequencies are high, and the absorber materials inside need to
5G and mmWave RF Absorbers: FR2, Ka-Band, and Beyond
Short version: 5G FR2 and Ka-band satellite systems operate at frequencies from 18 GHz to 40 GHz and above, where RF absorber material selection gets more demanding. The wavelengths are shorter, the cavity dimensions are smaller, and the absorber materials need to be thinner
RF Absorber Materials and EMC Compliance Failures
Short version: If you're reading this because your device just failed an emissions test, you're not alone. It's one of the most common reasons engineers contact us. In most cases, a thin RF absorber material placed inside the enclosure is enough to get from
PIM Mitigation with RF Absorbers: A Guide for Cell Sites
Short version: Passive intermodulation (PIM) at cell sites is often caused by antenna backlobes and sidelobes reflecting off nearby metal structures. RF absorber materials installed directly on the antenna suppress unwanted radiation patterns and reduce the reflections that generate PIM. 3PB Solutions manufactures weatherproof
RF Absorbers for Cavity Resonance: A Practical Guide
Short version: Cavity resonance is what happens when a shielded enclosure amplifies EMI instead of containing it. RF absorbers fix it by dissipating resonant energy as heat, lowering the Q factor of the cavity. The most cost-effective approach is to apply absorber material to
