The CB Series 0.040″ thick RF absorber material is the thinnest option in the CB Series line of iron-loaded silicone elastomer absorbers. Optimized for the upper X band and lower Ku band (8.0 to 14.0 GHz), it delivers peak absorption at higher frequencies where thinner material is both effective and necessary to fit compact enclosure designs.

At 0.040″ thick, this is the material to use when cavity resonance occurs at higher frequencies in smaller shield cans and board-level enclosures. Thicker options are available at 0.050″, 0.060″, 0.080″, and 0.100″ for lower-frequency applications. For applications requiring a non-silicone alternative, consider the US Series acrylic elastomer.
