The AF Series Broadband Foam 0.500″ thick RF absorber is the mid-range option in the 3PB Solutions line of carbon-loaded polyurethane foam absorbers. The homogeneous carbon loading attenuates electromagnetic energy through dielectric loss as the wave passes through the foam volume, providing broadband absorption from 1.0 to 40.0 GHz with no conductive backing required.

At 0.500″ thick with a 700 loading level, this material combines -70 dB/in insertion loss at 10 GHz with twice the material depth of the 0.250″ option, delivering more total absorption per pass and extending useful performance to lower frequencies. It is the workhorse choice for chamber lining and isolation walls where half an inch of depth is available. For maximum loss per inch in less space, use the 0.250″ option; for S-band and C-band problems, the 1.000″ and 2.000″ options reach lower still.
